Brad Blomberg
Account Executive
Brad contributes at all levels of account service, connecting the dots as he goes. From meetings and creative to production and placement Brad keeps us all in-line and on time. He's also pretty good about remembering to bring the doughnuts.

Relevant Skills
Brad is a deliberate and thoughtful organizer with an eye for where every little detail fits into the bigger picture. He's good with managing tight deadlines and busy schedules internally and with our vendors. Brad is tech savvy and well-connected with experience in social media as well as search engine optimization.

Experience
Brad has ground-level market research experience in sales and service. He began his time at Media One during a summer internship in 2004. We liked him so much we hired him in 2008 and assigned him to clients in retail, medical and professional services as well as business-to-business marketing. On top of that, Brad has five years of sports retail experience during and post-college.

"Marketing is full of great tools, resources, technology and people that create a fun work environment. I work with and learn from all types of people involved in projects from start to finish. Artists, programmers, writers, outside vendors, management, controllers and everyone in between, are all part of the team to make sure our client's aspirations turn into results in the most efficient and effective way."

Education
Brad graduated from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing.

Interests
Brad is an avid mountain and road biker as well as an ace bike mechanic. He's raced in events across a three-state area. During the winter, he trades his cycles for downhill skis. He enjoyed restoring – and now driving – a 1971 Ford Bronco. And he's interested in learning more about brewing beer and making wine.
Greg Blomberg
Partner
When it comes to experienced and practical problem solving, Greg is the guy. Time and time again, Greg has demonstrated his skills at building group consensus and identifying important and actionable strategic opportunities for clients.

Relevant skills
Greg has a board-level marketing background and has built strong, successful relationships on numerous regional and national accounts, including state government, financial institutions, professional services, tourism and entertainment as well as business-to-business. Greg is results-oriented and a proven performer.

Experience
One of the original founding partners of Media One and has been recognized for creative excellence on the local, regional and national level. He offers specific experience in regional and national financial marketing, gaming and tourism, manufacturing and professional services.

Current responsibilities
As Partner, Greg's role includes agency development. He is skilled at matching the right client with the right Media One team for efficient and successful communication. Greg enjoys being a guest lecturer for the University of South Dakota Beacom School of Business, Augustana College and other trade events.

In his own words
"The world is a very interesting place, full of many smart people. Marketing people are particularly interesting because they are never satisfied with the status quo. Having the opportunity to interact with bright, diverse groups of restless problem solvers has created many lasting friendships, professional relationships and success stories. Education
Greg earned a Bachelor of Arts in History and an English minor from Augustana College. He's also attended a wide variety of seminars, webinars and trade functions for clients.

Interests
As an aspiring viticulturist and enologist, Greg and his wife tend a 2,400 vine vineyard on weekends. Greg loves all things outdoors. He's completed 13 North American Birkebeiners – a 50K cross-country ski race in northern Wisconsin. His passion for skiing and charity combined when he founded Media One FunSki 25 years ago. The event has raised $750,000 for Children's Inn in Sioux Falls. Family, friends and music are all important to Greg. He is a South Dakota Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and master to a free-thinking yellow lab named Nova.
Kristi Dorn
Production Manager
Relevant skills
Kristi wears many hats in her role at Media One. Official title is Production Manager, and while project management remains her focus, Kristi will lead clients from project initiation through completion; manage project scope, schedule, resources, and risks; and mediate internal and client expectations and deliverables.

Experience
Kristi has valuable experience and perspective thanks to fifteen years of industry experience.

"The advertising world is constantly in a state of flux. There's always something new to learn, but I love the challenge."

Education
Kristi graduated from the University of Minneapolis with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing with a focus on Speech Communications.

Interest
A Midwestern girl, Kristi hails from the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes and now lives in Sioux Falls with her husband Dirk and their daughter Rilee. Kristi enjoys anything that involves boating and water during the summer months, reality t.v. and planning her next winter vacation.
John Fiksdal
President & Partner
As co-founder and president of Media One, John is proud of the hundreds of creative and marketing performance awards the team has won. John is fond of the Harvard Business Review, and for some reason, fountain pens.

Relevant skills
John is a recognized and respected marketing professional. He has broad experience in crafting and interpreting market research and in brand creation and management. He also offers long-term experience in regional, post-secondary research, branding, recruiting, capital campaigns and other stakeholder dynamics. In addition, John has school board, non-profit and corporate governance experience.

Experience
John is the current president of Media One and a founding partner. He is regularly involved with the administration of key state accounts. John is a highly successful issues-related political consultant. He is an author and/or consultant for research studies, data analysis, shareholder analysis, and strategic recommendations for regional and national clients. And, he's been recognized locally, regionally and nationally for creative excellence.

In his own words
"The best is to cajole friend-clients; to work together to generate fresh solutions to age-old problems; to succeed together. A job, for me, doesn't get any better."

Education
John has a BA from Augustana College and completed additional studies in Journalism and Physics. He received his MBA from the University of South Dakota.

Interests
What doesn't John like to do? He's a self-proclaimed outdoorsman and mountaineer who enjoys camping, hunting, fishing and SCUBA. He is a licensed pilot. On the ground he enjoys reading philosophy and theology as well as politics. He finds pleasure in music, including serenading the staff of Media One on a regular basis, whether they like it or not. Not too humble to admit he gave up on golf.
Rebecca Goeden
Controller
Rebecca Goeden, Controller, is responsible for overseeing all accounting functions. Our staff loves her. Our clients love her, too, even though she sends them the bills.

Relevant skills
Becky brings to the table strong financial planning, management and organizational abilities. She is an excellent project manager and offers outstanding cost analysis and vendor management skills. She is responsible for media post-buy analysis evaluation as well as thorough and relevant client budget management, forecasting, reporting and analysis.

Experience
Becky was responsible for the overall financial and inventory management for regional & national automotive distribution operation. She is the controller for our property management/development company, project management and accounting functions.

"We are always doing new and exciting projects that are never the same. I am responsible for getting all of pieces together and organized in our management system and working with the production manager to make the numbers work. It's never boring."

Eva Hofer

Anyone familiar with Eva Hofer's work would love to have her on his or her team. Eva's skill set uniquely blends intelligence, practicality, hard-nosed marketing, and an incredible eye for detail, that few possess. Eva adds unique strength and depth to our creative and design teams. Good design stands still and looks pretty. Great design changes minds, moves ideas and product. Eva does great design.

Eva possesses extensive knowledge and experience designing, upgrading and/or unifying corporate branding systems for regional and national clients. She is a master typographer and interpreter of creative briefs. In life and in work, Eva is research- oriented and results-driven. She has long-term digital experience and finesse. She pretty much makes competitors jealous.

Experience
Eva has more than 25 years of agency experience. She came to Media One from Lawrence and Schiller in 1990. During her first ten years with us, she spent her time on financial, medical and gaming/tourism accounts. For several years she focused on her family and freelance work, then moved to BKG and Fresh Produce. She is back home at Media One – in an environment she knows will provide the best opportunity for her to do her best work.

In her own words
"People tell me I'm pretty thorough. I like to sort things out very carefully, creatively and spatially, before I start to form ideas. It's important to understand the noise in the marketplace and find a way to visualize the client's strategy that can attract eyes in crowded environments. It's exciting. I love the challenge!"

Education
Eva graduated from Bemidji State University with a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design.

Interests
Eva is married to Rick and has four children and a mini Schnauzer named Elvis. While her family comes first, she enjoys running, CrossFit training, the Walking Dead and naps when she can.
Sharon Knoll
Director of Account Services
Sharon has a complete vision of the entire playing field for Media One's key clients. Staying ahead of the creative and account team with an eye on the big picture, she is responsible for making everything work together and smoothly. Seems like an unreasonable task, right? Not when you have Sharon's experience and subtle sense of humor. Smart people listen to Sharon. We do.

Sharon is a seasoned strategic communicator who brings a comprehensive skill set and command of the marketing business. She understands the details and is always thinking of the big picture. She is accomplished in media strategy and analysis, account planning, and research. She has executive-level skills in managing key blue-chip and government account relationships. Does it sound like we're bragging? Just ask industry peers and competitors, they'll tell you, Sharon is well-respected.

Experience
Sharon offers more than 20 years of industry experience in agency, media and corporate settings. Sharon has been responsible for the strategic planning and placement of numerous, successful regional and national campaigns. She provides extensive account-management experience in numerous business and goverzment categories. In 2007 SME presented Sharon with the Distinguished Sales and Marketing award.

Education
Sharon is a graduate of The University of Minnesota, Morris and the Chicago Media School.

Interests
While Sharon loves golfing, photography, reading, interior design and being active, her real focus is her family. A husband and three grown children keep her well-grounded in what is really important. Her Current passion is chalk painting under the "Shabby Knots" guise. She has a knack for taking a piece of otherwise boring and turning into something amazing!
Anna Haecherl
PR/Copywriter/Content Manager
Anna brings an inquisitive reporter's mind, old school smarts, and a razor-sharp sense of humor to every project she touches. She runs solely on coffee and creativity, and she is an outspoken advocate for the use of the Oxford comma.

Relevant Skills
From grants for non-profits and in-depth news stories to software support documents and B2B marketing copy, Anna has written a little bit of everything. She is fluent in Search Engine Optimization, social media, and sarcasm. The AP Stylebook and a copy of Strunk and White's Elements of Style is never far from Anna's reach.

In Her Own Words
"Everyone has a story to tell; they just need the right voice and the optimal platform to tell it on. The age-old rule of news writing is that the first line of a story should fully inform the reader, draw them in, and build a desire to continue reading and learn more. The same should be done in marketing writing."

Experience
Anna joined the Media One team in the summer of 2016. She is an award-winning newspaper journalist from southwest Minnesota with previous experience in technical writing, non-profit management, and business startups.

Education
Anna graduated from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts in English with a focus on literature and creative writing. She also studied music at SMSU with a focus on academic theory and percussion performance.

Interests
Anna enjoys all aspects of music, from strumming a guitar or playing the drums, to trying to perfect her home recording setup. You may spot her with her beagle, Chester, exploring the neighborhoods and trails around Sioux Falls. Anna also has a cat named Kirby. She is still on the hunt for the perfect fishing spot and the best sidecar cocktail in town.

And please, stop putting two spaces at the end of a sentence, because then she has to delete them and it makes her cranky.
Bryon Middleton
Director of Audio / Video Services
When it comes to moving broadcast projects forward Bryon is always one step ahead, reaching strategic goals with creative genius. Nominated for several Emmy's, his skill is the result of many years producing documentaries for Public Television.

Relevant Skills
Bryon is a multi-Emmy Award nominated producer and director. He's been nationally recognized for his work on documentaries about the Vietnam War, Native American dance and others. He brings experience in K12 educational programming production, long and short form video and audio projects and live broadcast. For Media One's clients, Bryon is the complete left-brain/right-brain package – creating, writing, producing, directing, photographing and editing. Bryon produces strong storyboards, killer music and is a social media wizard.

Experience
Bryon has been a part of the Media One team for eight years following a six year career with South Dakota Public TV. He possesses strong conceptual skills backed by technical expertise for multi-media applications.

In his own words
"We've entered a time where everyone is carrying a camera, microphone and computer with them in the form of a smart phone. They're capable of uploading hours of content to countless video and social media websites. However, it takes a multitude of natural and learned skills to create quality, meaningful and effective work. That's where my experience, ingenuity and work ethic dominate – along with a delicate balance of confidence, humility and realism."

Bryon graduated from the University of South Dakota in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications with an emphasis in electronic media.

Interests
Bryon's interests include family, photography and music. You might also see him cruising in his vintage 66 Ford Mustang he restored with his father. Really, he's interested in most everything.
Jason Shea
Director of Interactive Services
When it comes to developing a strong online presence, Jason employs over 12 years of industry experience to produce online applications and websites that get noticed. Whether it's mobile design, ecommerce, online
registration, or system integration, Jason's response is always "yes".

Jason has expert knowledge in web design, development, systems analysis and design. He has an extensive background in ASP.NET (C#), HTML/CSS, MSSQL, SEO, and email marketing. Jason's focus on results-driven applications help our clients realize bottom-line results.

Experience
Jason has over 12 years of experience developing ecommerce solutions, registration systems, Facebook apps, online fundraising tools, and web-based solutions that integrate with enterprise level platforms. With a keen eye for interface and graphic design, he creates aesthetically pleasing sites with a focus on functionality.

"Everyone knows they need a website, but they rarely understand why. Plenty of web design companies are out there building great looking sites, but they are missing a critical piece of the puzzle. The build-it-and-they-will-come approach is not effective. You need a marketing strategy to drive traffic, traffic not only measured by volume, measured by your bottom-line."

Jason has a BS in Computer Information Systems from Dakota State University. He received his MBA from the University of South Dakota.

Interests
Jason and his wife, Stevie, live in the McKennan park area with their four dogs. They can be seen walking in and around the area during their daily 5 mile walk. They are experienced travelers, most recently having returned from their second visit to China. Jason is a board member of the Sioux Falls Area Humane Society. He also enjoys boxing and watching movies.
