Over the first 5 months of 2023, SFHumaneSociety.com saw over 1.5 million page views with over 1.2 million unique visitors. Can you imagine how sad those eyes would look if they knew how many folks had scrolled right on by?
Approximately 6.3 million companion animals enter U.S. animal shelters nationwide every year. Of those, 3.1 million are dogs and 3.2 million are cats. With so many animals in shelters, it’s important for shelters and rescues, such as the Sioux Falls Humane Society, to have a reliable website to share their current residents as quickly as possible. Many potential adopters rely on an up-to-date website to learn more when looking for a new family member.
Due to this demand, the Sioux Falls Humane Society has partnered with Media One for nearly 10 years to optimize their website so they can focus on pairing families with their purrfect match. We’re currently working to improve the custom Adoptable Animals module to improve user experience.

SF Humane Society staff invest heavily in taking quality photos, writing descriptions and creating video content which ultimately leads to site visitors coming in to meet and hopefully adopt! The more eyes that see the Humane Society’s page increases the potential that a special dog, cat, or other small animal may find a new furever home.
